Objectives: 
1) To promote collaboration across borders to facilitate effective conservation and management of the NSTFCA including anti-poaching and tackling the Illegal Wildlife Trade. 2)Promote partnership in management of biological natural resources; 3) To improve the integrity of the ecosystem and natural ecological processes, standardizing procedures for environmental management across borders and striving to remove artificial barriers that impede natural wildlife movement. 4) To develop cross-border tourism as a way to promote regional socio-economic development; 5) Establish mechanisms to facilitate the exchange of technical, legal and scientific information for joint management of the ecosystem.
